🦖 Florybal Magic Land: An accessible adventure for the whole family

If you are looking for an inclusive, educational and magical tour, Florybal Magic Land, in Canela, Rio Grande do Sul, can be a great option. We visited the park on two separate occasions: the first with my brother who has level 3 autism; the second with my baby daughter—and both times the experience was positive, welcoming, and memorable for the whole family.

✨ First impressions and welcome

From the moment we arrived, the park staff was welcoming and attentive to our needs. My brother and mother received the discount for people with disabilities and companions, as provided by law, in addition to priority in the queue and preferential parkingThis already brought a lot of peace of mind from the beginning of the tour.

The park is quite spacious, surrounded by nature, and very well-maintained. There are several sculptures and themed areas—especially dinosaurs, which delight children. Of course, because of the large figures and sound effects, it may be a bit uncomfortable at first for autistic or sensitive individuals. In our case, both my brother and my daughter were scared at first, but they soon got used to it and finished the tour quite excited!

♿ Accessibility and structure

According to the website itself Florybal Magic Land, about 80% of the park path is accessible for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. The trails are paved, and there are ramps and elevators in places with stairsHowever, it is important to note that there are some ups and downs along the way, which may require some physical effort for those using a stroller or manual wheelchair.

For those who need it, the park also offers electric scooter rental, exclusively for people with mobility difficulties and over 16 years old. There is also a nursing station and support car for first aid.

Another positive point is that the attendants are trained to deal with visitors with autism, Down syndrome, and other neurodiversities. Additionally, visitors can request a Priority Access sticker at the ticket office, which guarantees priority in queues and rides.

💡 We believe some improvements could be considered to make the experience even more inclusive:

  • Availability of sunflower or autism necklace already at the entrance;
  • Creation of a quiet sensory room for those who need a sensory break;
  • Implementation of tactile floor for people with visual impairments;
  • Inclusion of audio description on the explanatory plaques for visually impaired visitors;
  • Addition of option specific ticket for people with disabilities and companions directly on the website, which is not yet available.

🍔 Food and fun for everyone

THE Florybal Magic Land has food options within the park, as well as a mini amusement park that appeals to both children and adults. It's a very complete space for those who want to spend the whole day enjoying every corner of the attraction.

The mountain climate also makes the trip more enjoyable. However, since most of the park is outdoors, we recommend bringing water, to use cap or hat, to spend sunscreen and be with one comfortable shoes.

🎁 Solidarity campaigns and social responsibility

Another highlight of the Florybal Magic Land are the solidarity campaigns that take place throughout the year. We have already seen initiatives such as food donation in exchange for tickets, among other social actions that bring the park closer to the community and make the visit even more meaningful.

✅ Conclusion

The visit to Florybal Magic Land It's a magical, educational, and, yes, inclusive experience. While there are areas for improvement, the park demonstrates a genuine concern for accessibility and hospitality. We especially recommend a visit for families with children, people with disabilities or autism, and anyone seeking an unforgettable outing surrounded by nature.
